Bruins' Pastrnak Scores Overtime Winner in Game 7 Thriller

Maple Leafs Eliminated as Bruins Advance

Pastrnak Breaks Through After Frustrating Series

David Pastrnak emerged as the hero for the Boston Bruins in their thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

The Czech winger, who had been held scoreless through the first six games of the series, netted the game-winning goal just 1:54 into the extra period. Pastrnak's goal, assisted by Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron, silenced the raucous crowd at Scotiabank Arena and sent the Bruins to the second round of the NHL playoffs.

The overtime goal was a fitting end to a back-and-forth game that featured outstanding goaltending from both Tuukka Rask and Frederik Andersen. The Bruins opened the scoring in the second period on a goal by Torey Krug, but the Maple Leafs answered back in the third period with a goal from Auston Matthews.

Pastrnak's overtime goal was a moment of redemption for the winger, who had been struggling offensively throughout the series. His performance in Game 7 was a testament to his perseverance and determination, and it ultimately proved to be the difference in the series.
