Obtaining a Transportation Network Drivers Licence (TNDL)

To legally drive for a TNC in Calgary, you must be affiliated with a company and hold a valid Transportation Network Drivers Licence (TNDL). To apply for a TNDL, visit the Calgary Transit website.

Steps to Apply for a TNDL

The application process for a TNDL involves several steps:

1. Complete an online application and pay the application fee.
2. Pass a criminal background check.
3. Submit a valid driver's licence and proof of insurance.
4. Provide proof of affiliation with a TNC.
5. Attend a mandatory driver training course.

Requirements for Renewal

A TNDL can be renewed within 30 days before the expiry date or within 30 days after expiry.

Uber's Role in the Process

Once you have received your Electronic Proof of Insurance (ePIC) results and shared them with Uber Canada, they will initiate the TNDL process with the City of Calgary.
